Mike was the son of Mr. & Mrs. Everett Short, 7727 Maumee-Western Rd., Monclova, Ohio; he was the oldest in a family of four sons: Michael, Tim, Patrick, and Christopher Short. He served in the Marines with Distinction. Upon returning home, he worked in the construction industry. He married once, to a classmate from the A.W. Class of 1969. They later divorced. Mike died on April 10, 1976. Funeral services were held at Maison-Dardenne Funeral Home in Maumee, Ohio. Mike is buried in Roth Memorial Cemetery on Keener Rd., Monclova, Ohio, next to his brother (Tim) and mother, Jeannie. On August 24, 2024 Mike was inducted into the Anthony Wayne Hall
of Fame. His brother, Pat Short (Class of 1972) honored him with a speech. Thank you, Pat! R.I.P. Mike.
