John Philip "Big Jack" Straubinger, was a resident of Annapolis for 50 years and formerly of Baja, Calif. and Washington, D.C., died of complications from pneumonia at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.
Jack served in the Air Force at London's military hospital, retiring in 1970 with an honorable discharge.
Funeral services and burial were private with arrangements by John M. Taylor Funeral Home in Annapolis.
