Army, 5 Years
I served in active duty from June 1992 to February 1998. I went to Ft. Jackson, SC for Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training. I was a 63B which is a light wheel vehicle mechanic. I worked on HUMMERs, Ford trucks called CUCVVs, 2 1/2 ton trucks, 5 ton trucks, Hemit trucks and tailers. I was there from June 1992 to December 1992. My first duty station was Ft. Bragg, NC. I was there from January 1993 to March 1996. I was then stationed at Yong San Soeul, South Korea. I was there from April 1996 to April 1997. My last active duty station was Ft. Stewart, GA. I was there from May 1997 to February 1998. My unit at Ft. Stewart went to Egypt for an Field Training Exercise for a month. I then got out of active duty and went into the Kentucky National Guard.

My unit went to Germany for a two week Field Training Exercise in the summer of 1999 and 2003. I didn't go in 1999, but I did go in 2003. We usually went to Ft. Knox or stayed at the Boone Center for summer FTX.

Sationed out of Yokuska Japan for 2 yrs on board air craft carrier, two tours in the Persian Gulf, one tour in Somalia, one into Nort Korean waters. Did 6 yrs of reserve duty as well.

Air Force, 20+ Years
Served in the U.S. Air Force from 1983-2003. My Air Force Specialty Code (AFSC) was a Meteorologist. I served in Desert Stom and was stationed in the Pacific, Asia, Europe, Middle East, South America, and numerous Stateside locations.

Served in the KY Army National Guard from 5-96 to 5-02 as 13f artillery forward observer. Received the National Defense Ribbon, ARCOM, KY service ribbon and various awards while serving on the pistol/rifle team.

Our Anderson County High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Anderson County High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated. All of us in Lawrenceburg are proud of our military alumni and want to thank them for risking their lives to protect our country!
