| Favorite School Memory | I wish I had relaxed more and had more fun. The times were "crazy" and kinda scary. I loved living in Alta Loma and where we lived we had a 1/2 acre lot and we had horses and animals and I worked at Upland Animal Hospital. Actually, I often have said I am ready to go back to high school and pay attention. Oh...... I just thought of my faviorite memory. I met my future husband when we were 15. We were in a history class together. Yes........this is my favorite memory. Married 33 years now. I will never forget when I got up in front of the history class to give an oral presentation and I looked at Doug and ......well, have you ever had the giggles until you can't stop? Well, that was my future husband egging me on. He broke my heart, I later broke his heart, we reunited and have had a good, great life, w/ups and downs and growing but it has been GOOD. I also will never forget when we went out to dinner w/our kids and we mentioned our 25th anniversary and then we BOTH looked at each other, our summers were so busy that we BOTH had forgotten our 25th anniversary! I am proud that we were busy and having so much fun! Google Red Rocks Amphitheather. I've worked there 10 summers. It is the best concert venue in the world. WOW, what I have seen. Our anniversary was July 10th so I was having too much fun to remember. But......he is my guy! Ahh......also worked for the Forest Service 30 years. | About Me | I've lived in CO since 1975. Doug & I bought a home at 8500 elevation w/no well or septic. We drilled a dry well, lived w/out water/toilet for 9 months. Learned you have to dynamite for septic lines, etc. What an experience. When our daughter was born 5 years after we were married, we realized she could get lost w/the 10,000 acres of watershed behind us. We moved to the foothills, bought a new home and loved living in a neighborhood that was new w/little kids. It was great. We are now enjoying being empty nesters...(read more) |
