| About Me | My family moved to Bishop California in 1966 prior graduation, so I ended up going to Bishop High school my senior year. I drove a truck for Schat's Dutch bakery and joined the Army in November 1966. I Spent most of 1967 and 1968 fighting in Vietnam. Upon my return from "Nam" I became a member of the 3rd Army Honor guard traveling throughout Kentucky, Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania performing military funerals for men killed in Vietnam. After my release from active duty, I served 3 years reserve. I had many jobs from 1969 to 1982. I operated heavy equipment, owned my own restaurant, was a mechanic, managed a gas station, and worked in a sawmill. I also worked as a security guard, cook, and construction worker. In 1982 I became a Correctional Officer for the State of California. I retired after 25 years of service. Hobbies & interests I am a licensed Pilot and have a small wood shop I enjoy. My main interest is my 29 grandchildren. I enjoy working in my church. We moved to Idaho late in 2015. My grandson played football for Boise State University. We came...(read more) |
