Mike Lewis graduated from West Point in 1984 and was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in Military Intelligence. He served in infantry divisions on the DMZ in Korea and Fort Ord, CA, before attending medical school at Tulane University in New Orleans. Following graduation and surgery internship at Walter Reed, he ran the primary care and glight medicine clinics at the Army clinic in the Pentagon for four years. Selected for further training, Dr. Lewis graduated from Johns Hopkins with a master degree in public health then Preventive Medicine training at Walter Reed. Following a four year posting in Bangkok, Thailand, he is now a professor at the Uniformed Services University School of Medicine in Bethesda, MD.

Scott has served 2 tours in Iraq in Falujuah and An Bar Province. He was injured when his humvee was struck by an IED. He survived with some injuries to his hearing, but has since recovered.

Our Allegany High School military alumni are some of the most outstanding people we know and this page recognizes them and everything they have done! Not everyone gets to come home for the holidays and we want our Allegany High School Military to know that they are loved and appreciated.
