Allen Raub
Class of 1964
Army, 20+ Years
Retired as an Army Military Intelligence Officer after 28 years of active duty service. Served as a MACV infantry advisor to Vietnamese units. Led a five-man Mobile Advisory Team, 1969-70. Served eight years in Germany in varied intelligence command and staff positions, 1976-79 and 1983-88. After retirement from active duty, served an additional 15+ years as a civilian in the Army’s Intelligence Senior Executive Service.

Entered the Army as a 2nd Lt and stationed at Fort Hood, Texas in 1964 after graduating Pitt. Battalion Maintenance Officer for 1/16th Arty, an Honest John Battalion.
Served in Vietnam 66-67 and spent 6 mos as a as a Civil Affairs Adviser, and then 6 months as an adviser in the first Revolutionary Development Mobile Training Team in MACV I Corps at Hue Vietnam.
1966-Learned Vietnamese at Defense Language Institute and worked as in advisory role.
Recipient of US Bronze Star and two Vietnamese Silver Stars.
