You have to help. Students against 4x4 and the AAA status of AHS is causing AHS to stop discussions by teachers and administrators, give warning out to them. 1700 students fill the halls, there is not enough rest rooms, hall space, grid lock is common, we need you to contact the school board they only support WAHS and MHS.Our revenues from being in AAA will cause us to lose teams, by the end of next year. ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
Dear AHS Graduate
We have organized an Albemarle High School Alumni Association. Our goals are to promote and support Albemarle High School in its educational and activities programs and to assist students at Albemarle High School.
To date, we have over one hundred and twenty five members that have paid dues and made donations amounting to over $4900.00. Please confirm your interest by returning the attached membership form with your check for the dues you select and any donation you would like to include. Membership dues and donations are tax deductible. Membership will be a way to stay in touch with friends, classmates and teachers and being informed of the changes and happenings at AHS.
We have two programs to start, establishing and maintaining a Hall of Fame for AHS Graduates, Teachers, Coaches, and Administrative personnel, photo and short bio will be displayed in the Senior Hall, and presenting scholarships to a senior boy and girl at graduation in the name of Albemarle High School Alumni Association. Two scholarships were presented at Senior Night 2009. To date we have raised over $1,300.00 to start our scholarship fund. Additional projects will be decided when we are informed of or determine needs.
