ALBEMARLE — Darian Derice Drye, 20, 425 Alfred St., died Thursday (July 27, 2000) at Stanly Memorial Hospital as a result of an automobile accident.
Born Nov. 15, 1979, in Stanly County, he was the son of Janet Drye Butler, of the home, and Wilbert Butler Jr., Albemarle.
A graduate of Albemarle High School, he worked for D&L Water Conditioning. He attended Saints Delight Church.
He was preceded in death by sister Laconya Butler.
Survivors include sons Darian D. Drye Jr., Badin, and Brian Shankle, Norwood; brothers Steve Little, Mount Gilead, Travis Butler, Tyquis Butler, Cornelius Butler and Marqui Tyson, all of Albemarle, and Tom Talbert, Asheboro; and sisters Keondra S. Drye, Shywanna Tyson, Shernita Tyson, Tamera Butler and Shantaka Butler, all of Albemarle, Stephanie Little, Mount Gilead and Susan Talbert, Asheboro.
Services: 2 p.m. Sunday, Saints Delight Church,conducted by Elder James E. Richardson. Burial, Mount Zion Church.
