Class of 1970
Navy, 4 Years
Severed in the Pacific Fleet for 4 years during the Viet Nam War, I also was in the North Pacific in the early and mid year of 1974.

Bob Brehm
Class of 1968
Navy, 6 Years
I served my first half year of active duty training in aviation electronics in Millington, TN. I was then assigned for two years to NAS Albany, GA, where I received extensive training on the RA5C Vigilante reconnaissance aircraft. I became the infrared radar support tech for RVAH-14 when the squadron was deployed for sea duty aboard the USS John F. Kennedy in the Mediterranean Sea and North Atlantic.
I finished my remaining reserve years at NAS Glenview attaining the rank of AT2.

Marine Corps, 4 Years
I servied a year in Okinowa Japan. Then joined the 15 MEU and set sail for Iraq on the USS Tarawa. We stoped in Singapore for 2 days. We spent several months in Iraq till we sailed back. On the way back we stopped in Australia,Seychells,and Hawaii. Once back my final unit was 7th ESB in California.

From 1971 to 1975, Girten served in the USS KITTY HAWK (CV-63) as an Avaiation Boatswain's Mate operating catapults and arresting gear in support of flight operations during the Vietnam conflict.

Operations sergeant and member of 282nd Army Band at Ft. Jackson, SC. Performed for all trainee graduations on post and civilian gigs throughout the state of South Carolina including Darlington 500 and performance with Bob Hope.
