About	Bill retired from working for the Iowa Highway Department. One of the sayings he was famous for was: Carnation milk for only a dime. No tets to pull no shit to pitch, just poke a hole in the s.o.b." He probably got the best education in Adair High School. He was always playing around in English class and was forced to read Ivanho for punishment. When we were in seventh grade with Miss McMahon, my older brother Francis did something to upset Miss McMahon so she sent him over to the seventh grade and had him sit with Bill. Bill had some candy and the two of them were eating it. Miss McMahon saw them and came over and pounded them both with her fist. Bill sat right behind me and it scared the sh-- out of me.
