Grovetown, Ga. - Entered into rest at her residence, on Wednesday, November 6, 2002, Brenda Jean Riley of Grovetown, after an extended illness.
She was born November 24, 1948, in Augusta, and graduated from the Richmond Academy and obtained a MBA from Brenau University. She was retired from SRP as a computer software engineer.
She was preceded in death by her father, L. Odell Riley.
Survivors are her mother Roberta D. Riley, North Augusta; her sister Linda Goetz, North Augusta; niece Scarlett Lane, North Augusta; nephew, David Lowe, Evans; and a grandnephew, Chase Lane.
Brenda was an avid horsewoman, and a member of the Aiken Driving Club. She loved animals. She was a dear friend to all she met, and had a wonderful sense of humor. Brenda will be missed by all who knew her.
At her request there will be no service.

Dr. J. Andrew Menger officiating.Bena graduated from the Academy of Richmond County where she was the Honorary Cadet Colonel for the year of 1962-63. She loved being on "Tybee" time with her family and friends. Bena's family was always her utmost importance and brought much happiness to her life. Her genuine smile and warm spirit will live on in all who knew and loved her. Bena was a loving mother, daughter, aunt, great aunt, sister, grandmother, and wife.In addition to her husband, Bena is survived by her sons, Charles Talbert Bunn, Thomas L. Clary, IV, and E. Nash Garrett (Monica); her daughter, Kathryn Bunn Elliott; her mother, Helen Knight Griffin; her grandchildren, Jay and Drew Elliott, McCamy Garrard, Ashley and Nash Garrett, and Wren, Nicklaus, and Cale Clary; and her niece, Helen Clay Garrard. She was preceded in death by her sister, Carol Knight Walker.

AUGUSTA, Ga. - Mrs. Josephine 'JoJo' Mallett Boeck, left her earthly home today, October 22, 2005, and has joined her mother and father in Heaven. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, October 24, 2005 in the Rose Garden at Brandon Wilde with the Rev. Hank Flowers officiating. Survivors include her beloved husband of thirty-nine years, Fred R. Boeck; two sons, Troy Robin Boeck and wife, Karin of Chattanooga, TN. and Thor Walter Chad Boeck of Augusta, GA.; three daughters, Krystiana Yvonne Vasko and husband, Bryan of Macon, GA., Gabriel Alexandra Moore and husband, Christopher of Augusta, GA. and Jasmine Petra Boeck of Augusta, GA.; twelve grandchildren, Emily Jo Boeck, Ty Boeck, Keri Vasko, Anna Vasko, Jason Vasko, Jonathan Vasko, Nicklas Vasko, Christopher Vasko, Cole Moore, Madison Moore, Joshua Moore and Gabriel Moore. Mrs. Boeck was preceded in death by her parents, J.P. and Juanita Mallett. She is also survived by her extended family at University Hospital's Emergency Department where she worked for thirty-nine years. Affectionately known to many as JoJo, her friends and family grieve their loss, but celebrate her life and the many contributions she made to the lives of so many. Josephine was a native Augustan. She graduated from The Academy of Richmond County and University Hospital School of Nursing before marrying and commencing her career in nursing. She was a life long member of St. James United Methodist Church. JoJo was a very hard worker, a strong woman, and the most giving mother any child could ever ask for. She and 'Robin' were a strong team as parents and had a love for each other that most people never know. She loved to work in the garden, run in marathons, and go on adventures with her family. JoJo was funny, wise, loving, gentle, gracious, and caring all at the same time and she will be missed by many.

Thomas B. Clark, Professor Emeritus of Managerial Sciences at Georgia State University died on Monday, March 21, 2011. Tom was born September 8, 1945 to Schuyler and Margaret Clark in Augusta, Georgia. He was a graduate of Richmond Academy, Georgia Tech, and Georgia State University. He was an outstanding student and received many academic and leadership awards, foreshadowing the exceptional accomplishments of his life. He was a member of the Chi Phi Fraternity. Tom graduated first in his class at Tech in Industrial Engineering. He earned an MIE from Tech and a PhD in Management from Georgia State. Following military service with the Army at the Pentagon and work as an industrial engineer with John Harland Company, he joined the faculty of Georgia Tech and four years later moved to Georgia State. Tom retired from Georgia State in 1999. While there he served as Chair of the Managerial Sciences Department and Acting Dean of the Robinson College of Business Administration. Tom received outstanding teaching awards from both Georgia Tech and Georgia State and received recognition for distinguished service to the College in 1993. In 1977 Tom developed the idea that led to the founding of the Atlanta Hospital Hospitality House (AHHH) as an outreach project of All Saints Episcopal Church. Since opening in September 1981, this organization has provided over 100,000 overnight accommodations to more that 20,000 people from 49 states and 35 foreign countries. He served as Founding President of AHHH from 1979 through 1982 and Vice President Operations in 1983-1984. In 1985 Clark Cottage on the grounds of AHHH was dedicated to him. In 1984 he received the WXIA-TV 11-Alive Community Service Award and the Jefferson Award in recognition of outstanding public service from the American Institute for Public Service. He was named Volunteer of the Year by the Atlanta Chapter of the American Red Cross in 2004. He was recognized for his work in the Red Cross 2005 Hurricane Season Relief effort. He was co-founder of YCA (now Project Success, Inc.), a project management training and consulting firm and conducted highly acclaimed project management seminars until his death. He and his wife, Carolyn, were volunteers at the Atlanta Botanical Gardens and delivered Meals on Wheels for ten years. Preceded in death by his parents, Schuyler and Margaret Clark and his brother, Schuyler Clark, Jr. He is survived by Carolyn McKinney Clark, his wife of 25 years; his daughter, Shannon Clark of Charlottesville, VA; his sister-in-law. Suzanne Clark of Alpharetta; his nephew, Shepherd Clark of Los Angeles, CA; his nephew and niece, Hal and Catherine Clark and their two children Schuyler and Sarah of Houston, TX; and his cousins, Sue and Dave Lester of Williamsburg, VA.

TROTTER - VyVyan C. Trotter, age 52, daughter of the late, Jack K. Croft, Jr., and VyVyan A. Hains, entered into rest on Tuesday, October 28, 2003 at her residence in Jacksonville, FL. A native of Augusta, GA she had resided in the Augusta area her entire life until moving to Florida approximately 8 years ago. She was a graduate of the Richmond Academy. She is survived by: her son, Trey Lott, Martinez, GA; 1 brother, Larry Croft, Martinez, GA; 1 sister, Kirby Holley, North Augusta, SC; 2 grandchildren; Rebekah and Jacob Lott. Memorial services will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, November 3, 2003 from the graveside in Westover Memorial Park, Augusta, GA with Pastor David B. Hunter officiating. The family will receive friends from 79 pm, Sunday at Elliott Sons Funeral Home, 4255 Columbia Road, Martinez, GA.
