My Brother was my Hero ! He was very smart, really funny; and an accomplished Editor, Writer and Photographer. He traveled extensively; and lived in Anchorage, Alaska for a while. He loved the beauty and solitude of Alaska; and did some of his best writing there. He retired as the Arts/Entertainment Editor of the Mobile Press Register in Mobile, Alabama. He was instrumental in promoting artists from all mediums; and the also the entire Arts Community in Mobile . He met, and was greatly respected by many Artists from all parts of the country. He also met and interviewed many writers and entertainers over the years. Thomas was honored by the Mobile Arts Community in a ceremony, where he was led to believe that he was accepting an award for the MobilePress Register, when it was actually all for him. He treasured the coffee table book they presented to him that contained all of his columns featured in the Arts Section each week for 15 years. He was also the recipient of an award from The Associated Press for his review of the movie “The Deer Hunter.” He was a graduate of the Academy of Richmond County-Class of 1968; and Augusta College-Class of 1972. I miss his acerbic wit, practical jokes; his friendship and guidance. He was my big brother, mentor, “partner in crime”; and my Trivial Pursuit partner. I was blessed to be his baby sister; and I miss him every day of my life.

Tommy and I met in the first grade and became friends right off the bat. Tommy was a thoughtful and a very opinionated fellow who kept up with world affairs and did not mind sharing his opinions with you. When I was married Tommy served as my best man.

Charlie,
Tom considered you one of his best friends. Your Family was our Family, too ! We were blessed to have each other during those school years ! Tom taught me how to play baseball; and I always enjoyed watching him play. He taught me so much about sports, of which I love to this day. Thanks for being such a great friend to us.
