About	Mitchell D. “Mitch” Stichler, age 64, of Evansville, Ind., passed away at 12:30 a.m., on Wednesday, November 1, 2017, at his residence. Mitch was born in Council Bluffs, on Saturday, June 13, 1953, the son of Dewaine and Alita (Martens) Stichler. During his high school days, Mitch played in several sports including wrestling, football and track. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School, Council Bluffs in 1971. Mitch was the president of his senior class at Lincoln Christian University, Lincoln, Ill., where he graduated with his Bachelor’s in 1975. He earned his Master’s at Cincinnati Christian University in 1991. Mitch was a member of Kingdom Builders, served several churches through Indiana and was in charge of the children’s program at North American Christian Convention. He was also involved in state conventions and church groups. Mitch was quite a history buff, especially the history of George Armstrong Custer and enjoyed Iowa football. He is preceded in death by his father, Dewaine Stichler; and brother, Trevor Stichler. Mitch is survived by his daughter, Farrah Mahoney (Rob), of Middlebury, Ind.; mother, Alita (Martens) Stichler, of Council Bluffs; sister, Shawni Atherton (Matt), of Council Bluffs; brothers, Greg Stichler (Caryn), of Elkhorn, Neb., and Brent Stichler (Ann), of Council Bluffs; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
