About | Steven was born to Dwain and Lorna (Koenig)Johnson. He attended school in Council Bluffs, and graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1971m where he was very active in sports, Steven served as Prom King and Homecoming King at A.L. worked as a car salesman at Roden and Tim O'Neill Chevrolet and was a businesss/bar owner for over 30 years, He was the owner of Doc's Roadhouse in Logan, IA. He was very proud of his community and helped sponsor the Logan Men's Baseball team. He was the main sponsor for the Special Olympics for West Harrison for many years.He loved the kids and sponsored many community events and benefits to help others. Steve was preceded in death by his parents, Dwain and Lorna (Koenig) Johnson, grandparents, John and Juanita Koenig and Elmer and Gladys Johnson. Survivors include his wife, Elaine of Logan; sister, Connie Pires and husband Manuel of Modesto, CA,;brother, Jim Johnson and wife Laurie of Omaha,NE,;step-daughters, Jennifer Gilgen of Mondamin,Heather Arrick and husband Doug of Minden, son-in-law Jon Gilgen of Modale; grandchildren, Lydia, Grant and Gabriel Gilgen, Natalie and Eva Arrick; several nieces, nephew, great nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. |
