SUBJ: Combined 5 year Reunion
Last year we attempted to put together this combined Class Reunion to include the 5 classes referenced above. We were so anxious to get together with everyone; we overlooked that fact that last year was the 40th year for the class of 1973. We apologize for overlooking that fact. At the 40th year celebration of the class of 1972, we talked about a 5 year reunion and here we are, planning the weekend activities. The dates have been set, June 27th, June 28th, and June 29th, 2014. See the information below. Forward any questions or concerns to the email address at the end of this information.
The activities of the reunion will include a Meet and Greet on Friday evening for those of us who arrive on Friday, a picnic mid-day on Saturday, a dance on Saturday evening, and a brunch to close out the reunion on Sunday mid-morning. It is not mandatory that you attend all events; a mixture of events has been set up so that there is something for us all to do.
The Meet and Greet will be held on Friday evening starting at 7:30 p.m. The location of the meet and greet will be:
Bunkers Sports Café in Leesburg, VA, located at 510-1 E. Market Street, Leesburg, VA 20176. There will be a cash bar. Lite finger foods will be served. $20.00 per person with a cash bar. A lite fare is included.
On Saturday, June 28th, an early morning tour of Loudoun County High School is pending approval by the school Principal. This will be at 10:30 a.m. and all will meet at the school. Starting at noon, a picnic will be held at Ida Lee Park, Leesburg, VA. The cost of the picnic will be $22.00 per person. There will be music, food, games and door prizes. There is also a plan to have a cheer leader contest. Yes, we are asking the cheer leaders from each class to reach out, and we will help as much as possible with the contact info, to plan a cheer and there will be judges. The class winning the contest will receive a trophy. Cheerleaders put together your cheering squads.
On Saturday evening, a dance has been planned at the Historic Carradoc Hall at Holiday Inn Leesburg, located at 1500 East Market Street, Leesburg, VA 20175. The cost of the dance will be $25 per person. This will include music, dancing, lite hors d’ oeuvres and will start at 8 p.m. and end at midnight. There will also be a cash bar and the committee is working on a complimentary champagne toast at 10 p.m. (this toast is not set in stone as of yet).
On Sunday, June 29th, a brunch has been planned. The brunch will start at 11:30 a.m. The brunch will offer a seasonal fresh fruit display, assorted breakfast breads and muffins, jam and butter, scrambled eggs, crisp bacon and sausage, breakfast potatoes, assorted juices, coffee, hot tea and water. The cost for the breakfast will be $24 per person.
In negotiating the cost for each event, we have worked to keep costs as minimal as possible. In today’s economy, Carradoc Hall’s bid was the more reasonable fit for the plans of the reunion. Hotel information can be found later in this document.

We will send an email to the class reunion organizer for your graduating class with that information to be distributed to each class member to ensure as many classmates can be reached as possible. Payments are now being accepted. Once your payments have been received, your wrist bands for the chosen activities will be mailed to you. Please remember to wear your wrist bands to the individual activities. Please include your year of graduation as well as the events you are planning to attend and the number of attendees for each event.

I have been working to put this together, and please forgive me for the length of time getting information to all of the classes. The dates have been set, June 21st, June 22nd, and June 23rd. See the information below. Forward any questions or concerns to the email address at the end of this information. Multiple activities have been planned to ensure there is something for everyone. It is not mandatory for everyone to attend all activities, pick and choose as you desire. Below is a list and cost for each activity: 1.
