Marian Edith Shaffer, 94, of Zion went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, June 23, 2016 at her home. Marian was born September 30, 1921 in Cuba City, Wisconsin. In 1945 she married Clone F. Shaffer. She was an active member of Christian Assembly of God Church in Zion. She retired from the cafeteria at Zion-Benton Township High School. Marian’s greatest joy in life was spending time with her family, her family was her life. Survivors include daughters Sharon J. Hanson and Linda R. Yearout, both of Zion; six grandchildren Diane Yearout, Michelle (David) Jones, Kristina (Tim) Jones, Gerald (Lynn) Yearout Jr., Jaclyn (Chris) Hampton, and Erik Hanson; nine great-grandchildren Colin Morones, Joshua Ayers-Yearout, Samantha Hampton, Gerald Yearout III, Rebekah Hampton, and Alexis Yearout; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Clone F. Shaffer; parents George and Mary Sigafus; brother Rev. Donald H. (Ruth) Sigafus; and sons-in-law Ralph Hanson and Gerald Yearout Sr.
