Anthony Wayne Burton, 61, of Beach Park, Illinois, passed away July 22, 2023. Anthony was born December 15, 1961 in Belmont, Mississippi to parents Sharon and Wayne Burton.
Anthony grew up in Winthrop Harbor, Illinois. He graduated from Zion Benton Highschool in 1980 and took classes at CLC for stationary engineering. Anthony started working in his family construction business when he was young, learning from his father. He was a lineman for ComEd for 15 years, a stationary engineer at Vista for 12 years, a maintenance repairman at Rolling Hills for 3 years, and also worked as a stationary engineer for City of Hope.
Anthony played softball and was part of a bowling league. He enjoyed going to The Daytona 500 and NASCAR races in general. He loved riding his motorcycle and traveling all over the world. Anthony lived life to the fullest. He was also a huge fan of the Sox and the Pittsburgh steelers.
Anthony is survived by his daughter, Whitney (Daniel Garbett) Johnson; grand-daughter, Brielle Huguelet; girlfriend Linda Young; aunt, Jan; cousin, Yvonne (Frank) Swander and numerous other cousins.
Anthony was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Burton; father, Wayne Burton; and grandparents Elton Stanford, Genieva Long-Standford, Thomas Burton and Lois Burton.
