Gerald William Koskinen Sr., 84, of Winthrop Harbor, IL, passed away on January 26,2023. Gerald was born January 13, 1939 in Waukegan IL.
Gerald graduated from Zion Benton Highschool in 1956 and studied at UW Stout. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Waukegan IL where he married his wife Phyllis on June 27, 1959. Gerald was a supervisor at Westvaco Envelope Company in Kenosha, WI. Gerald enjoyed bowling and golfing with his buddies. He was also a big fan of Chicago sports teams, cheering for the Bears, the Cubs, and the Chicago Bulls with his wife. Gerald loved spending time with his wife and family and is loved by all who knew him.
Gerald is preceded in death by his parents Isaac and Sophie Koskinen.
Gerald is survived by his wife Phyllis Koskinen; sons, Gerald (Shelly) Jr. Koskinen, and Jeff (Lori) Koskinen; grandchildren Joshua (Emily) Koskinen, Amber Koskinen, Luke (Andrea) Koskinen, Sierra (Alex) Ferson, Jordan Koskinen, Corey Koskinen, Brett Koskinen; and eight great grandchildren.
