Renée Marie White (Lady Renee) 46, of Peoria, formerly of Zion Illinois, was born on July 16, 1975, in Waukegan, Illinois, to John C. and Margie L. (Sanders) Taylor Jr. She confessed a hope in Christ and was baptized at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, in Zion, Illinois under the pastorate of Dr. B. J. Gaston. Renée transitioned from this earthly life to her heavenly home on Saturday, January 1, 2022, at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, Illinois. Renée completed her primary education in the Zion Public School system, graduating from Zion-Benton Township. She participated in volleyball, track, and field and was a member of the school choirs. She earned a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Political Science from Howard University, Washington DC. She matriculated at the John Marshall Law School, Chicago, Illinois, where she earned her Juris Doctorate Law Degree. She pledged and was a member of the AKA Sorority. Renée returned to her community and served on the Zion Elementary District 6 School Board. Renée was united in marriage to Pastor Claude L. White, Jr. on September 27, 2003, in Zion, Illinois. They relocated to Peoria, Illinois, in 2014 and faithfully served at the Grace Baptist Church of Peoria, Illinois. Renée served as the Leader of the Minister’s and Deacon’s Wives Ministry and as part of the Mission Ministry. She was employed at Fort Dearborn Land Title Company in Chicago, Illinois, as a Senior Title Processor. Renée is survived by her husband, Pastor Claude White of Peoria, Illinois, step-children Asmarina and Blake White, parents: John C. & Margie Taylor Jr. of Zion, Ill, one sister, Tiffany D. (Rev. Lavan) Pipes of Zion, Ill, one brother, John C. Taylor III & partner Maisha Whittington of Zion, Ill; nephews; Taylor, Fyodore, Christian and Bishop Pipes; John C Taylor IV (King Quatro); two nieces; Isabella & Gloria Pipes, God-daughter; Ambria Holmes; maternal grandfather: Aubrey R. Sanders of Zion, Ill; support parent to Kevionna, Kianna, Brianna, Emanuel & Isiah; sister-cousins; Tuwanda, Courtney & Clarissa; two lifelong friends Tiffany Anderson and Gary Connell; five aunts, three uncles and a host of other relatives and friends She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Rev. John & Eugenia Taylor Sr. maternal grandmother Margaret (Big Mama) Pickett, and two uncles, Danny Ray Sanders and David Taylor.
