| Events | Todd A. Krempley was born on July 9, 1963, in Waukegan, Illinois, to his father, David Krempley of Sherwood, Oregon, and his mother, Patricia Bertrand, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his uncle, Stephen Krempley. Todd is survived by his son, Ryan (Ciara) Krempley, and his two grandsons, Cooper and Cal, of Tipp City, Ohio; his father, David Krempley of Sherwood, Oregon; two brothers, Ross (Kayla) Krempley of Eugene, Oregon, and Kyle (Dane) Krempley of Portland, Oregon; and three sisters, Renee Krempley of Tualatin, Oregon, Tara (Colin) McRoberts of Vancouver, Washington, and Katrina (Matt) Markus of Portland, Oregon. He is also survived by two aunts, Nancy Trygar Engel of Altamonte Springs, Florida, and Ruth Dallstream of Barrington, Illinois; one uncle, Bradley Trygar of Aurora, Illinois; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews who adored and loved him. Todd made friends everywhere he went. He had an easy charm and a quick wit that put people at ease almost immediately. He had a natural gift for making others laugh and for turning ordinary moments into unforgettable ones through his humor and storytelling. Todd was a graduate of Zion Benton High School, Class of 1981. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force, where he served on active duty as a Security Policeman from 1985 to 1989. During his service, he was stationed in Belgium, Germany, and Homestead, Florida. He continued his military service in the United States Air Force Reserve from 1989 to 1993, where he became an M16 Arms Instructor. In more recent years, Todd worked for eight years with Securitas at Memorial Hospital in Marysville, Ohio. Todd was an avid golfer, and his love for the game was constant throughout his life. His closest friends can recount numerous stories of golf trips where Todd was always spreading laughter and memories that last a lifetime. And while Todd loved the game itself, many would agree that his favorite part of the round may have been enjoying a cold one in the clubhouse with everyone afterwards, always with a smile on his face and a joke at the ready. One of his greatest joys was sharing his love of the game with his son, Ryan. Their time on the course created lasting memories filled with laughter, spirited competition, and lessons that extended far beyond the game itself. Todd's love for Ryan was unconditional, proud, and constant, and it has shaped every part of Ryan's life and character to this day. Todd will be remembered for his big heart, his infectious laugh, and his ability to make everyone feel like a friend. The stories told about him will be many, the laughter will continue, and the love he shared will live on in all who were fortunate enough to know him. A private family ceremony will be held at a later date. |
