Events	Gerald R. Ransom 53, of Zion, Illinois passed away on Monday, July 26, 1999 at Midwestern Regional Medical Center. He was born in Waukegan, Illinois November 16, 1945. The son of Myrtle Ranson, and the late Cecil Ransom Sr. He attended Zion elementary schools and a graduate of Zion Benton Township High School and served two years in the U.S. Army. He is survived by four sons, Darrell of Atlanta, GA., Chris of San Diego, CA., Azel and Joshua of Zion, IL., one daughter, Ayesha of Zion, IL., and one granddaughter, Bria of Los Angeles, CA. Four brothers, Ronald (Sharon) Ransom, Victor (Cynthia) Ransom of Zion, IL, Michael (Wini) and Dennis Ransom of Las Vegas, NV and one sister, Paula Warren also of Las Vegas, NV. Three nephews, Victor Jr. and Jason Ransom of Zion, IL and Johnnie Young of Las Vegas, NV. Four nieces, Ronda Ransom of Waukegan, IL, Dawn (Dennis) Johnson of Charlotte, NC and Rocie and Michelle Ransom of Las Vegas, NV. One aunt, Roslie (Dan) Powell of Waukegan, IL, one great aunt, Alma Johnson of North Chicago, IL and many cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Rose Thompson, his father, Cecil Ransom sr., brother Cecil Ransom Jr. and his grandmother, Charlette Ransom.
