Events	Lois Ann Doty went home to be with the Lord on February 24, 2024. She was born August 29, 1932 to Roy and Ruth Woodruff in Zion, IL. She was a lifelong resident of Zion and attended Zion Benton Township High School. She was working at Great Lakes Naval Base when she met her future husband, Robert Doty, they were married on October 27, 1957 in Zion, IL. They traveled to many places together and when living in Hawaii they adopted their daughter Cheryl Ann. When Robert's time with the Navy was over, they settled back in Zion. Lois was an avid bike rider and went on many adventures with her group of friends. She also enjoyed traveling with Robert after his retirement, and they went on many cruises and Navy reunion trips. Lois is survived by her daughter Cheryl Petersen; granddaughter, Christina (Matthew) Frederiksen and great grandchildren, Ada and Lucas Frederiksen. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Doty; parents, Roy Woodruff and Ruth Woodruff Turner; and sister and brother in law, Stanley and Anita Soderburg.
