Douglas William Densmore, 72, of Beach Park, Illinois, passed away peacefully at home after a long and brave battle with cancer May 21, 2024
Born on June 25, 1951 to Frank and Ida Densmore, he was the 3rd of 4 children. He grew up in Zion IL, graduated Zion Benton High School in 1969 and continued to live in the same area until his death. He continued on to trade school learning carpentry and joined the Carpenters Local Union 250 in 1970. Soon after, he met the love of his life, Judy Hyde and they married in July of 1971. Doug and Judy welcomed their one and only child, Deanne in 1973. After retiring from over 40 years in Carpentry, he took a position at Cardinal Health as a Warehouse Associate from 2008 to 2015.
Doug enjoyed being outside, working in the yard of the home he built for his family in 1979 doing gardening and woodwork projects while listening to 60's and 70's classic rock music.
Doug is survived by his wife Judy, daughter Deanne (Gerard), sister Charlene, brother Terry, several nieces and nephews and two grandsons.
Doug was proceeded in death by his parents and older brother Wes.
