Rosemari Virginia Gehrke, 73, of Beach Park, Illinois passed away July 17, 2025. She was born November 16, 1951 in Chicago.
Rosemari previously lived in Virginia as well as Zion, Illinois, graduating from Zion Benton Township High School. She worked for elementary schools in Lake County helping with the breakfast program and was employed with Whiteside Draperies for 18 years. Rosemari married her late husband, Robert Wayne Gehrke Jr. February 21, 1970.
Rosemari loved her family. Her life was very important to her. She liked the odd and unusual, which might explain why she loved her kids and grandkids so much. Rosemari will be missed terribly. She loved us all and she will miss us too.
If there is anything waiting for us after death, we hope she is with her husband, Robert, living one of her favorite romance novels out with him. Rosemari was truly one of a kind. Her love will continue to live on in all of our hearts forever.
Rosemari is survived by children, Ryan Anthony Gehrke, Eric Wynn Gehrke, Travis Steel Gehrke, and Sarah Elizabeth Alindogan; grandchildren, Olivia Liyah Perez, Bethany Michelle Gehrke, and Jayden Allen Gehrke; brothers, Joel Gregerson and Jim Gregerson; adopted brother, Micheal Talley and family; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wayne Gehrke Jr.; mother, Hilda Margaret Ponzio; and brothers, Chuck Gregerson and Ed Gregerson.
