Events	Connie Sue Stickles of Zion, Illinois, passed away on August 7, 2024. Connie was born December 20, 1962 in Madison, West Virginia. She moved to Beach Park, IL where she attended Zion Benton Township Highschool, before getting married to the late James Stickles. Connie spent her early years working at factories such as Lake County Press. She quickly became a stay at home mom, taking care of her kids, as well as her nieces and nephews. She returned to the workforce in customer service at Lake Forest Bank, and Trust and One Step Ahead in Lake Bluff in the late 90's early 2000's. She became a grandma in September of 2011. Shortly then after, she became grandma to 5 grandchildren. In the years before passing her grandkids became her world. She cared for them and taught them so much. Connie is survived by her children, Brandon (Jessie) Brown, Ashley Martin-Stickles, Jami Stickles; grandchildren, Jason, Atreyu, Chloe, Aleeha, James; mother, Carolyn Brown; Siblings, Joyce McCormick, Howard Brown, Jeff (Shelly) Brown, Karen (Dwayne) Davis; other surviving family, Ami (Dave) Michael, Christopher, Mallory, Katie, Jeffery, Jessica, Faith, Mckensie, Kyle, Mikayla, Amanda, Bryce, Christine, Ashley, Tracie, Sarah, and Katie. Connie is preceded in death by her husband, James Stickles; father, Howard Brown; in-laws, James and Linda Stickles; brothers in law, Kelly McCormick, Norman Miller, Bruce Kruckenburg; and sister in law, Tammy Miller.
