| About | Chester DuBois of Zion, IL was greeted by his Heavenly Father on July 8th 2023, peacefully surrounded by his family. He was born on August 27th 1934 in Waukegan, IL. He graduated from Zion-Benton High School in 1952 and married Dolores (Scogin) on July 30th1955. Chet served in the U.S. Army and was stationed in France. He was a faithful member of Beach Bible Church, leading youth groups and serving as an elder over the years. He was an accomplished designer with both OMC and Buehler and received over 40 patents for his inventions. Chet cared for his beloved bride Dolores throughout her battle with Alzheimer’s until her death in 2011. Chet was a phenomenal role model for his sons and grandsons and exemplified what it meant to be a Godly husband and father. Chet is preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Viola, his brothers, Henry, Edmond, Donald, and his wife, Dolores. He is survived by his sister, Kathy (Bud) Swim, his sons, Denis (Debbie) and Dean (Theresa), his grandsons, Dustin (Ashley), Michael, Nathan (Samara), Trevor (Carley), and Nick. He is also survived by one great-grandson, Dexter |
