Phyllis Marie Staples
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Phyllis Marie Staples, at her home on Monday, September 23, 2024 at the age of 72. She retired from CSX Railroad in 2012 where she held the position as Director of Train Operations. Phyllis was steadfast in her faith, in her love for family and friends, and her belief in continual growth through education.
She was preceded in death by her father William R. Staples II and her mother Violet L. Staples. Phyllis is survived by her nine siblings, William (Debra) Staples III, Yvonne (Charles) Triplett, Michael (James Williamson) Staples, Ronald Staples, Barbara (Michael) Wallace, James (Angela) Staples, Sharon Carroll, Terry (Nilsa) Staples, and Jonathan (Adrienne) Staples; one uncle David (Loretta) Ellis, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. OUR DEAR SISTER WILL TRULY BE MISSED
