About Cynthia Ann Bruns, 67, of Kenosha, WI, passed away peacefully on Tuesday July 31, 2024, at Aurora Medical Center Mount Pleasant, WI.

Born January 18, 1957, in Waukegan, IL, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Marlene (Bates) Clark Jr.

Cindy attended Winthrop Harbor grade school, graduated high school from Zion-Benton Township in 1975, and attend College of Lake County. She was employed as a Legal Administrative Assistant with Hewitt Associates from 1976 until 2005 and as a Communications Associate with Abbott Laboratories from 2006 until her retirement in 2021.

Cindy was the life of the party and enjoyed attending the Cabin Fever Getaways, hosted by 95 WIIL Rock. She loved visiting her lake house in Townsend, WI where she enjoyed time with her family and Jesse, swimming, boating, jet skiing, fishing, and riding around in her UTV. Some of her favorite things included attending craft fairs, shopping, horseback riding, decorating for Christmas and watching Wheel of Fortune.

She is survived by her significant other Jesse Downing; her only son, Brian (Jenn) Bruns; three grandchildren, Jake, Jared, and Brooke Bruns; brother, Ronald (Kate) Clark; nephew, Ryan Clark; and niece, Kelly Clark, as well as other family and friends.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, at Proko Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Interment will be held privately.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the medical staff of Aurora Medical Center Mount Pleasant, WI, for all the care and compassion they showed to Cindy while she was there.
