About	Brenda S. Brister, 61 of Zanesville, died 3:25 AM, Thursday, March 16, 2017 at Select Specialty Hospital in Newark, following a lengthy illness. She was born Friday, July 15, 1955 in Zanesville, the daughter of Arthur Spinks and Doretta (Jenkins) Spinks and was married to Harold “Bill” W. Brister who survives. Brenda worked for Good Samaritan Hospital for many years in the Central Service Department. She loved to cook and play cards with her grandchildren. Brenda enjoyed watching the Lifetime and Cooking Channel. She was a very loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. Brenda is survived in addition to her mother and husband by two children: Kevin A. Brister of Zanesville, and Billie Jo (Jim) Fraley of Philo; eleven grandchildren; one brother: Terry (Diana) Spinks of Zanesville and several nieces and nephews. Brenda was preceded in death by her father and Little William. Friends may call from 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM, Monday, March 20, 2017 at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, where Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 PM. Brenda will be laid to rest in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
