John E. Thress, 86 of Zanesville died at 9:32 AM Sunday, February 14, 2016 at the Genesis Healthcare.
He was born on August 7, 1929 in Zanesville the son of John L. and Bonita G. (Smith) Thress.
John was a proud member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, an Army Veteran, and a member of the local VFW post #1058. He spent 53 years serving his community as a Pharmacist with the family owned & operated business, FOX Pharmacy on Brighton Blvd. After the business was sold he began working at Ellis Pharmacy, and subsequently, was employed with CVS Pharmacy.
He is survived by, a son John C. (Penny Havens) Thress; two sisters Mary Ann (Bill) Lentz & Alice (Tom) Bryan all of Zanesville; several nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death in addition to his Parents by his wife, Ruth M. (Harsch) Thress.
Memorial service will be at 11:00 am Friday, February 19th, at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Zanesville with Pastor Dan Bell Officiating.
