Denise M Dougherty, age 68 of Zanesville died 10:00 PM, Monday, February 23, 2015 at Willow Haven Care Center in Zanesville.She was born Monday, February 17, 1947 in Zanesville the daughter of Jack C. Pollock and Joanne (Pitcock) Pollock. She was a teacher for Tri-Valley Schools including many years at Adamsville Elementary. She was a "Sunshine Lady" volunteer for the Salvation Army women's Auxiliary.She is survived by one daughter, Stacy (Aaron) Huelsman of Bellevue, MI; one son, Sean (Liz) Dougherty of Atlanta, GA; six grandchildren, Annie, Oscar, Grace, Otto, Erin; one sister, Cinda (John) Cooper of Zanesville; and her loving companion of many years, Jack McDonald, of Zanesville; and his children, Todd McDonald and Jennifer Elma; and special grandchildren, Dylan, Zachary, Alex and Ashley, special friend, Dixie Hennesy; and countless more friends.In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one brother, Tom Pollock.Friends may call from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM 8:00 PM on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville. A funeral service to celebrate Denise's life will be held 10:00 AM on Monday, March 2, 2015 at Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home 935 Forest Avenue Zanesville with Dr. Herbert Hicks officiating. A cremation with care will follow.
