About | Ronald J. "Ron" Frame, 72 of Zanesville, died 10:50 AM Monday, September 29, 2014 at Genesis Morrison House Hospice, following a very brief illness. He was born Monday, August 17, 1942 in Zanesville, the son of Joseph Russell Frame and Hazel M. (Watton) Frame. Ron was owner and operator of Ron Frame State Farm Insurance Agency for over 39 years. He was a former member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church and an active member of Saint Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. He served on the St. Nicholas School Board for several years and he served on several boards and committees including church council at St. Thomas. Ron was a lifelong avid hunter and fisherman who enjoyed rabbit, deer and squirrel hunting and he delighted in his many fishing trips to Canada. He took great pleasure in participating in Competitive Pistol and Archery Competitions and loved riding his Harley Davidson from coast to coast over the past 50 years. Ron served his country as a member of the United States Army Reserve; was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council # 505; Zanesville B.O.P.E. and American Legion Post 29. Ron was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family. Ron is survived by his wife of the home: Debbie Frame; four children, Brandee L. and David Wahl of Zanesville, Christopher J "Chris" and Erin Frame of Brownsburg, IN, Deborah L. "Debbie" and Ian Decker of Marietta and Clinton J. "Clint" and Maria Frame of Zanesville; two step-children, Brian Hamilton of Columbus and Christina and Kenneth Ledbetter of Gahanna; nine grandchildren, Kelsey Wahl and her fiancée: Steven Johnston of Muncie, IN, Lyndee Wahl of Zanesville, Kaila and Karl Boyd of Brownburg, IN, Ty Frame of Brownsburg, IN, Briana Frame of the United States Air Force, Kyler and Diamond Decker of Marietta and Joey and Dalton Frame of Zanesville; two step-grandchildren, Austin and Samantha Ledbetter of Westerville; one sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Paul Swope of Longwood, FL; one brother-in-law, Bill Durant of Zanesville; and many nieces and nephews.In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his first wife, Marsha A. (Vaughn) Frame; one son, Ronald J. "Ronnie" Frame, Jr.; and one sister, Nancy DurantFriends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at the Hillis, Combs & Nestor Funeral Home, 935 Forest Avenue, Zanesville where a Christian Vigil will be held at 7:45 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated 10:30 AM Thursday, October 2, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, 144 North Fifth Street, Zanesville with Fr. Jordon Torino, O.P as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Mount Olive Cemetery. |
