About	William I. "Bill" Menhorn, Sr., 89, of Zanesville, died at 6:17 p.m. Sunday, December 12, 2010 at his residence. Bill was born September 1, 1921 in Macdonaltdton, Pennsylvania the son of the late William L. and Marie (Richter) Menhorn. He was a Bronze Star recipient of WWII serving in the U.S. Army as a radar operator in the Army Signal Corp. He retired from Bailey Drug Company as a pharmaceutical buyer after thirty five years. Bill was a lifetime member of VFW Post 1058, long time member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, having served as president, deacon and elder as well as serving on Church Council. He was active in the Golden Agers Group and Zanesville Tip-Off Club. Bill enjoyed Zanesville Blue Devils, Ohio State Buckeyes, playing euchre and making Christmas ornaments in his workshop. Bill's greatest pleasures were his church and family, especially he was very proud of his children, grandchildren and great grandchild. Bill is survived by his wife, Evelyn (Bell) Menhorn whom he married February 14, 1948; daughter, Donna (Don) Savage of Zanesville; sons, William I. (MaryAnn) Menhorn Jr. of Zanesville, and Richard (Sue) Menhorn of Suwanee, GA; granddaughter, Diana Donahue of Zanesville; grandsons, Christopher Menhorn of Columbus, David (Michelle) Donahue of Benson, NC, Douglas Donahue of Ft. Wright, KY, and Steven Menhorn of Suwanee, GA; great granddaughter, Madison Donahue; brother, Carl "Gene" (Edna) Menhorn of Zanesville; special nephew and niece, Gene (Carolyn) Baldwin; as well as many nieces and nephews; and special adopted grandchildren, Ron, Molly, Andy and Emily Denton. Preceding Bill in death were brothers, Clayton and Vernon Menhorn; sisters, Thelma Joswick, Mabel Baldwin, Lucille Menhorn and Mildred Starkey. Visitation will be 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 15, 2010 at Bryan & Snider Funeral Home 2318 Maple Ave. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 128 South Seventh St. Zanesville. Rev. Kelly Reagan will officiate followed by committal service at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made in Bill's memory to Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 128 S.
