Steven J. Sayre, 45, of Columbus, died at 6:10 a.m. Thursday, March 15, 2012 at his residence. He was born December 21, 1966, in Zanesville, a son of James C. and Vicki P. Sayre of Zanesville. He worked in the parts supply department for Lane Aviation. He was a musician and had a passion for music. He was a member of several bands in and around Columbus.
Surviving in addition to his parents are a sister, Mary (Jason) Messick of Reynoldsburg; two brothers, Shon (Robin) Sayre of Baltimore, OH and Jeffrey (Kathy) Sayre of Findlay, OH; a niece, Angela Renee Sayre; a nephew, James Tredwyn Messick; great grandmother, Grace Roberts of Skowhegan, ME; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and a special friend, Sherry Baker of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Victor Roberts and Mary and Leo Sayre.
Friends and family may call from 11:00 a.m. until time of life celebration at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 1271 Blue Ave., Zanesville with Pastor Linda Morrrow officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
