About	SAN ANTONIO, TX: Betty Walker, 64, of San Antonio, Texas passed away on July 14, 2014 at her home after a long battle with cancer. Betty was the daughter of George and Dressalean Strickland Sr. who preceded her in death. She grew up in Zanesville Ohio.She is survived by and was married for 48 years to the love of her life and her childhood sweetheart, Sherman Walker Jr. with whom she had two children, Anthony Q. Walker and Sharmane R. Walker all living in San Antonio, Texas. Her immediate family also includes her daughter-in-law, Vali Walker and grandchildren Anthony (AJ) Walker and Alysa Walker.Betty is also survived by her sisters and brothers, Cheryl Lynn Strickland, Georgiamae Norris, George Strickland Jr., and Leroy Strickland all of Zanesville, Ohio and David Strickland and Curtis Williams of Georgia as well as several other family members.Betty was the rock of her family and touched many lives with her infectious personality and loving spirit. She will be forever loved and greatly missed. No matter the trial or tribulation that came her way she never complained.You may call on the family during viewing Friday, July 18, 2014 beginning at 10 a.m. at the Union Baptist Church, 56 8th Street, Zanesville. Rev. Raleigh Ragland will officiate. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. for immediate family and friends. Burial will be in Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, Texas, where a graveside service will be held at a later date.
