About	Walter R. Moody, 84, of Hopewell, Ohio, passed away, May 9, 2014, surrounded by his family at Hospice of Central Ohio at Licking County Memorial Hospital.He was born November 22, 1929 in Zanesville, son of the late Walter and Mary Bibler Moody. Mr. Moody worked at Hazel Atlas Glass House and Armco Steel where he retired from after thirty-six years. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict 1950-1954, a life member of American Legion Post 29, life member of VFW Post 1058 and a member of Moose Lodge Chapter 663. He attended Lash High School. His hobbies were working on lawn mowers and water wells for years.He is survived by his wife of 59 years, whom he married June 4, 1955, Etta Ruth (Willison) Moody of Hopewell; daughters, Stefanie Briggs (Mark Fell) of Zanesville and Darla Moody of Thornville; brother, Donald (Mary Lou) Moody of Zanesville; grandson, Robert Joseph Briggs III of Zanesville, whom he was very proud of; several nieces and nephews; fur companions Bandit and Bailey. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his infant son, James Edward Moody.Burial of cremains will take place 11:00 am, Thursday, May 22, 2014 at Zanesville Memorial Park for family and friends. A gathering will follow at the VFW 1318 Putnam Ave, Zanesville, OH 43701
