About	Zanesville native Thomas R. Wilson, age 72, passed away peacefully April 21, 2013 at Riverside Hospital after a long illness. He was born November 8, 1940 in Zanesville, Ohio the son of the late Thomas P. and Sarah E. (Thompson) Wilson. He graduated from Zanesville High School in 1959 and later from Ohio University with a BS in Education. He taught in the Muskingum County School system from 1962 to 1974, having taught at Dillon, Newton, and Jefferson grade schools. He moved to Columbus and worked in the administration of the College of the Arts at The Ohio State University until he retired in 1998. He was preceded in death by brothers Larry Wilson and James Wilson. He is survived by sister Marilyn (Don) Caldwell of Zanesville and brother Myron (Linda) Wilson of Blue Rock. He had several nieces and nephews. Tom was a lover of animals and hated animal abuse. Tom also liked to travel and traveled to many places in the world. His favorite place was Las Vegas to which he made more than sixty trips. He was a member of Saint Nicholas Catholic Church in Zanesville. Friends and family will be received from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, April 25, 2013 at MAEDER-QUINT-TIBERI Funeral Home, 1068 South High Street, Columbus, where services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, April 26, 2013. The eulogy will be given by Dr. Michael Weiss and Father Rodney Damico will hold the service. Cremation will follow the service.
