Sandra K. (Orwig) Drake, 64, of Zanesville, passed away at 6:30 PM Monday April 1, 2013 at Genesis Morrison House Hospice.
She was born April 17, 1948 in Zanesville the daughter of the late Walter and Ruth Deitrich Orwig. Sandra was a proud 1966 Graduate of Zanesville High School and retired from Bethesda Hospital in October of 2012 as an x-ray technician and mammographer. Sandra was also proud mother, grandmother and friend to many. .
Sandra is survived by daughters: Kassy (Roger) Nero of Medina and Kelly (Kevin) Lawler of Nashport, grandchildren: Kylie Frame, Cameron Nero, Kaden Lawler, Zachary Nero and Lilly Nero and several nieces and nephews, 2 sisters-in-law: Carmeda (James) Taylor of McConnelsville and Penelope and Joe Atkinson of Tucson, AZ, and mother-in-law: Wilma Waxler of Tucson, AZ.
Preceding her in death were her parents, husband: David F. Drake who died 11/25/2007.
Calling hours will be 3:00 – 8:00 PM Thursday April 4, 2013 at Bryan & Snider Funeral Home 2318 Maple Ave. and one hour prior to services which will be at 11:00 AM Friday April 5, 2013 with Rev. Tim Patton officiating. Committal service will follow at Zanesville Memorial Park.
