About	David T. Taft passed from this life Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Riverside Methodist Hospital. He was born in Zanesville, Ohio August 2, 1943, the son of Edwin and Helen (Butler) Taft. David enlisted in the USMC after graduation from Zanesville High School in 1961. After two tours of duty in Vietnam, he settled in the Washington D.C. area. He owned and operated a successful construction company in Washington D.C. and Deep Creek, Maryland area. He retired back to the Zanesville area and lived his life in the service of God. He is survived by a son, David (Tracy) of Savannah, Georgia; grandson Taylor of Savannah; a sister, Carol Sue Mix of Zanesville; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, maternal and paternal grandparents and one brother Larry. As requested by David, there will be a caring cremation and no services.
