Miss Lena Alice Broomhall, of 914 Forest Ave., died at 8:45am, Monday, July 3, 1978 at Bethesda Hospital, where she had been a patient since June 8.
Born March 10, 1896, in Zanesville, to Charles W. and Hattie Gibson Broomhall, she was a lifetime resident of the area. She was a teacher in the Zanesville City Schools for many years, retiring in 1960.
She was a member of Central Presbyterian Church, American Association of University Women, Current Review Club, Bethesda Hospital Junior League and Muskingum County Retired Teachers Association.
Surviving are one sister, Mrs. John C. Swartz of 914 Forest Ave.; one nephew, John B. Swartz of Hampton, VA; and three nieces, Mrs. Charles (Susan) Greer of Wheeling WV, Mrs. Roger (Virginia) Gould of Grand Rapids, MI, and Mrs. Gerald (Barbara) Stotz of Ortonville, MI.
