Patty L. Kelly, 72, of Zanesville, died at 11:55 P.M. Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born December 20, 1939 in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Blonda C. and Mabel Sciance Bee. She retired from Brockway Glass after 30 years of service, and had worked as a tailor for Wade’s Clothing. Patty loved needlework.
Surviving are a daughter, Kelly (Vernon) Maxwell of Zanesville; a step-son Kevin (Robin) Kelly of New Concord; a step-daughter, Karen Roberts of Zanesville; one granddaughter, Karissa Maxwell; six step-grandchildren, Kayla, Cody, Christina, Amanda, Amber and Jesse; a great grandson Rhyder Smith a sister, Peggy (Louis) Davis; two sisters-in-law, Eleanor Bee, and Faye Bee, both of Zanesville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elwin Jack Kelly, who died July 5, 1999; three sisters, June Barnes, Shirley Bishop, and an infant sister; two brothers, Blonda “Bud” and Larry Bee; a very special nephew, Robby Tom; and a nephew, Terry Bee.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Genesis Hospice-Morrison House: 713 Forest Avenue, Zanesville, Ohio 43701; the Animal Shelter Society: 1430 Newark Road, Zanesville, Ohio 43701; or to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital: 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
Friends and Family may call from 6:00-8:00 P.M. on Friday, October 19, 2012 at the Bolin-Dierkes Funeral Home, 1271 Blue Avenue, Zanesville, and also one hour prior to the funeral. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 20, 2012 at the funeral home with Patty’s step-son, Kevin Kelly delivering the eulogy. She will be laid to rest at St. Paul Cemetery, Sonora, beside her husband Jack.
