DUBLIN: Ruth Evelyn Pope, 93 of Dublin formerly of Zanesville passed away March 26, 2012 at the Sanctuary in Dublin, OH. She was born May 9, 1918 in Zanesville a daughter of the late Andrew and Ina Eppley Schaumleffel. She was a graduate of Merideth Business College and worked as the secretary to the Director at Ohio University Zanesville. She was a loving mother and grandmother, loved flowers, playing bridge, spending time with family and was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.
Ruth is survived by one son Ronald Pope of Grove City, OH; one daughter Lynne (George) Smith of Dublin, OH; two nephews Robert and Gary Schaumleffel; two nieces Kathy Firman and Peggy Murphy; two grandsons Jason (Susan) Smith of Cincinnati, OH and Christopher (Megan) Smith of New Albany, OH; three great grandchildren Lauren, Alexa and Elise Smith.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Clarence Pope; and her brother Robert Schaumleffel.
Burial will be in Zanesvill Memorial Park Cemetery
