Martha Jane Lapp, 80, of Zanesville, died at 4:50 a.m. Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at the Muskingum County Home. She was born July 15, 1931, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Theodore and Pearl Boring Stuart. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and retired as a secretary in the Nursing Department at Ohio University after more than 25 years of service.
Surviving are two daughters, Erin Hollins and Lisa (Dan) Arter, both of Zanesville; a son, Stuart Lapp of Columbus; five grandchildren, Rachel (Drew) Beitman, Meredith Lapp, Shianne Hollins, Allie Arter and Dani (Colby) Kinsey; two sisters-in-law, Lois Stuart of Charlottesville, Virginia and Jean Lapp of Dresden; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul "Pete" Lapp, who died July 29, 2009; two grandsons, Nicholas G. Hollins and Ryan Lapp; a brother, Ted Stuart; and a special cousin, Vici Taylor.
Martha will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Paul, at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
