About	MARIETTA, GA: Zane M. Barnett, 85, of Marietta, Georgia, formerly of Zanesville, died Sunday, October 16, 2011. He was born on September 11, 1926 in East Fultonham, Ohio. He was a resident of Muskingum County until 1996. Zane was an insurance salesman with Modern Woodmen of America for many years. He and his wife, Dolores also owned and operated a Dairy Isle on Maple Ave. in the 1950's. He was a member of St. Luke's Lutheran Church for approximately 40 years where he served as treasurer, an elder, and sang in the choir. He was formerly active in the Zanesville High School Boosters Club and the Zanesville Kiwanis Club. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving in the Pacific area from 1944-1946. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Dolores (Miner) Barnett of Marietta, GA; one son, David Z. (Donna) Barnett of Marietta, GA; one sister, Mary Lou Mast of Zanesville. He was preceded in death by his parents, Orval and Olive (Mauk) Barnett. Burial will be in Zanesville Memorial Park.
