About	Zanesville: David L. Sanders passed away peacefully surrounded by friends and family on August 30, 2011. He was born in Zanesville, Ohio, attended Zanesville High School and served in the National Guard. We say goodbye to a man who was a father, companion, brother, grandfather, uncle and trusted friend to many. He was a warm, dedicated and hard working man who would lend a hand to anyone in need. David had pride and love for his work which continued well after he reportedly retired from Petco Construction. For many years he served as the golf course superintendent of Zanesville Country Club. In addition to his best friend and companion of eighteen years, Linda Bennett, he leaves behind his children, Rodd (Beth) Sanders, Todd (Lyn) Sanders, Alicia (Terry) Houin; his beloved granddaughters McLayne Houin, Marley Houin, Corinne Sanders, Tanner Bennett, Chelsie Bennett, Riley Bennett and Madison Bennett, Ashley Pederson, MacKenzie Pederson, Brianne Pederson, and two great grandchildren; and his siblings, Richard Sanders, Phyllis Tom, Nancy Carter, Charles Dobbins, Kathy Wriston, Mary Smith and Martha Simon, and Timothy Paxton. David was preceded in death by his mother, Ruth Paxton (Brosie) and his brothers, Terry Paxton and Clarence MacClelland. His family wishes to acknowledge and thank all those that assisted in his care, with special thanks to Dr. Tarel Patel and all staff at the Zangmeister Cancer Center. The family will be hosting a remembrance reception at the VFW Hall, located at 1318 Putnam Ave., Zanesville, Ohio, on September 11, 2011, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Cremation has been chosen.
