H. Jean Twiggs, 86, of Zanesville, died at 8:55 a.m. Friday, December 03, 2010 at the Primrose Retirement Community of Zanesville. She was born April 20, 1924, in Zanesville, a daughter of the late Frank and Ella Brandtman Wild. She retired as a payroll clerk for the Edmont Company in Canton, Ohio. She was a member of the Immanuel United Church of Christ and its Rebecca Circle and the Senior Bowling League and was past president of the Y City Women. Jean loved to play cards.
She is survived by her sister, Nancy Lou (Charles E.) Peyton of Zanesville; a nephew, John (Dorinda) Smith of Newark, OH; two nieces, Ann (Dan) Kline of Nashport, OH and Barbara (Dr. Erik) Geibig of Knoxville, TN; three great nephews, Bobby Smith of Newark, OH and Brenden and Matthew Geibig, both of Knoxville, TN; two great nieces, Staci Canterbury of Newark, OH and Emma Geibig of Knoxville, TN; two great-great nephews, Dalton Smith and Steven Canterbury, both of Newark, OH; two great-great nieces, Kailey Smith and Sarah Canterbury, both of Newark, OH; few cousins and many friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Andrew Twiggs, who died March 18, 1987; a brother, Frederick Wild; and a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ann and Robert Lee Smith.
Burial will be at Zanesville Memorial Park Cemetery.
