Edward Thomas Sturges peacefully passed away on Dec 22, 2022. He was born October 30, 1933 in Zanesville, Ohio to Quincy and Rose Sturges (both deceased). He follows in death his wife of 62 years Elizabeth D Sturges, his brother Michael Sturges, and his sister Ann Yinger. Tom was survived by his daughter Cathy Unger and her husband Jim Unger; and his son Edward D Sturges and his wife Jessica Sturges. He had four grandchildren (Josh Mervis, Drake Unger, Nicholas Sturges, and Riley Sturges. Tom attended The Hill School in Pottsville, Pa and graduated from Lash High School in Zanesville, Ohio. He attended Miami University and The Ohio State University. Tom worked several years in the family owned Black and Grant Company in Zanesville, Ohio. He also worked 38 years as a stockbroker. The last 25 years he worked for R.W. Baird Company. Tom was a member of First Community Church.
Tom has been an active member of the Conestoga (a fund raising group of Ohio Historical Connection). He is a member of Symposiarts. He enjoyed traveling. He and his wife have been on many trips all over the world. He is a supporter of the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, The Columbus Museum of Arts, The Columbus Zoo and the wilds, and The Ohio Historical Connection. He will be deeply missed by his family and all his friends.
