James Robert (Bob) Mayle, age 40, went home to be with the Lord, on Sunday afternoon, February 15, 2004, due to injuries sustained in a training accident at Fort Stewart, GA., on October 27, 2003. He was born on May 25, 1963 in New Hartford, NY., the son of Kenneth Mayle, of Zanesville OH., and Saundra Sue Mayle-Beard, of Erie PA. S.F.C. Mayle had served 20 years in the United States Army, with duties in the U.S.A., Germany, Korea, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia. He fought a long hard battle, and now victory is his. For he is dead to sin, but alive in Christ. He attended Zanesville High School and The Ohio State University. Bob found uttermost pleasure in loving his family and friends, his dog Hunter, serving his country, hunting, fishing, and remote control model airplanes. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Carl and Josephine Mayle and Jim and Elsie Morgan. He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving wife of 16 years, Cathleen, step-daughter Catherine Dasco of Canton, OH., sons James Jr. (BJ) and Bryar Mayle of the home in Hinesville, GA. Sisters Chris (Rich) Mink of Torrence, CA., and Karen Mayle of San Diego CA., brother Ken (Janette) Mayle of Barstow CA., mother-in-law Mary Holman. There is also a special aunt and uncle Ella Mayle and Carl Raymond both of Canton, OH., special cousins Doug and Michelle Parsons of Athens, OH., and numerous nieces and nephews surviving. Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11am in the Reed Funeral Home, with full military honors and Chaplain Michael Spikes and Pastor M.L. Jackson officiating. Friends and family may call on Friday evening from 6-8pm in the funeral home. Following the services a cremation will take place to honor his wishes. |
