Theresa Kaye Bagent, 85 of Zanesville died at 9:31 AM Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at the Oaks at Northpointe under hospice care.
She was born October 7, 1940 in Zanesville, Ohio the daughter of Garland Glenwood Bagent and Lillian Faye Starling Bagent.
Kaye was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, and was a retired elementary school teacher, working in the West Muskingum District. She received her master’s degree in education from Ohio University. Teaching was her passion, but she very much enjoyed reading and traveling all over the world.
She is survived by her uncle, Garland Starling, several cousins and good friends, Pam Bishop, Linda Marks and Steve Baldwin. In addition to her parents, Kaye was preceded in death by a sister, Debbie Bagent and several aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 noon to 1:00 PM with funeral service at 1:00 PM on Monday, October 27, 2025 at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church with Pastor Larry Kudart officiating. Burial will conclude at the Zanesville Memorial Park.
